Joanna Patcha is currently employed as a clinical social worker at the Center for Community Transitions with her primary focus on supporting the residents at the transitional detention facility.   Joanna has over 10 years of business experience at Fortune 500 companies, including Nestlé, Kellogg’s, and Bristol Myers Squibb.  She has a BA in finance from Michigan State University, an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western University in International Business and Marketing and a master’s degree in Social Work.  In addition, she is clinically licensed in NC as a social worker. 

Joanna founded the St. Matthew prison ministry and was a co-leader of the St. Matthew Catholic Church Peace and Social Justice ministry for three years. In addition, Joanna founded and led the Prison Ministry at St. Matthew Catholic Church.  She is currently leading the Criminal Justice Committee at St. Peter Catholic Church and is a member of St. Peter in Charlotte, NC.

Joanna joyfully resides in Weddington, North Carolina with her husband, three children, two cats, and a dog.  In her spare time, Joanna enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and furry friends!
